Our next weekend course in Sydney is a 5-hour introduction to mind training. 

The course focusses upon the following four areas:

  • Techniques to help aim and sustain attention, reduce digital clutter and improve cut off between tasks;
  • Stress management techniques to help people manage and navigate emotional triggers better;
  • Self-awareness improving techniques to help people observe their own physical and emotional signals, learn from them and develop techniques to let them go; 
  • Developing greater self-compassion

The course is being held at the lovely Yoga Village centre , Level 2, 20 Darlinghurst Road, Potts Point

No previous experience of neuro coaching, mindfulness or yoga is required. 

We will provide course notes.  You will also be sent some simple self-care videos. It’s probably a good idea to dress in loose fitting comfortable clothes because there will be some gentle movement and stretching during the session.  The focus of our session is to help you practice mind developing techniques, understand why those techniques work and how they help us at home, work and in the space between.

The course runs from 11am to 4pm on Sunday 25thNovember.  The course costs  $150 .  We are limiting numbers to 15 participants on this occasion.

My coaching background - Andy Roberts 

Back in 2007 I was one of the first people outside of the US to gain a masters degree in applied positive psychology at the University of East London. I’m also an accredited emotional intelligence coach (MSCEIT abilities based model).  Prior to my coaching career I had twelve years experience in corporate finance at KPMG in both London and Sydney.

For the last three years I’ve lectured in mindfulness and positive psychology to medical, dentistry and pharmacy students at James Cook University.   Research on the efficacy of this program indicates that students have experienced significant improvements in their resilience and self-care skills. This introductory mind training course contains elements of that program.

In Australia I run leadership mind training programs with South 32, HAYS Recruitment, pwc, CQ University, The Australian Institute of Marine Sciences, Queensland Health and others.
